Mara has everything you need in one package, and is the best 6 man DPS in the game. But WAR is played many ways, depending on your playstyle the answer could change. You should specify what exactly you are wanting to do.

In terms of pure dps, and not else
id say sorc for rdps and choppa for mdps
If you start factoring in other things like utlity then yeah other classes are "better"

Mara is a strong contender for non squishy DPS, ive seen some as tough as 2h Tanks but higher DPS.

Any rDPS is less "squishy" (k maybe not, but will have an easier time surviving) than an unguarded, not-pocket-healed mDPS.
Are you gonna be soloing/pugging a lot? Or do you intend to run a premade with proper heals and tanks?
