Hallo!!!!

good game everyone! here i write something that maybe will make most of you laugh!
I recently started WH and im level 22 so far. Good gear (deci+full purple from influence/drops) i putted renown and gear+gems ALL on str& WS

but

i am unable to kill anyone... No matter who i face i will never win!
fr example yesterday in open rvr happened to me to meet a shaman level 14. I incognito+opener then dotted then absolution combo. I tossed him 30% with jhealing debuff and... pop! hes full life in like 3 seconds... FULL LIFE with 50% debuff i mean lol??? he tanked me literally all the time with heal debuff and no matter if i stunned or silenced hiim he NEVER went down (had no guards nor detaunt on me)

Same happened to a DOK... ssame story as above he tanked me and killed me with 1 hand and chalice...

what i wish to know. are we effective? if w cannot even kill a healer with 50% debuff i dunno which is my role lol. More than go full offense and camper enemy healers i have no idea how to play this class! some more experienced can lend me a hand?

Most classes can't kill a healer 1v1, especially in the lower tiers. Healers have a detaunt which reduce your damage by 50% for 15 seconds on a 15 second cooldown. The heal debuff helps but focusing targets is better. Bringing more than just yourself to the fight will help a lot in killing a healer.

WH is also pretty bad until like lvl 35 when you have CC/Crit multiplier and incoming healdebuf. Stick with it, it's def better in t4 than it is at 22.

both classes have a leech heal, which isnt affected by heal debuffs.

also you might wanna keep away from ranged classes until late or at least until you got pistol whip, because they can simply outrun you, without the old feinted positioning + snap shot trick.

make use of pots my backpack carries me, literally.

crit->str->wounds or str->crit->wounds both works under the right circumstances.

make use of detaunt yada yada yada.

Run purity when solo the amount if crit it provides is truly excellent.

You dont need lvl35 to kill something in t3. Lvl 29 with full Decimator set (not sure if its the correct name) but the set gives you +1 in the judgement tree so you can already spec BAL and PW. Does quite good damage and with lvl 30 you get the third tactic slot and can slot Fanatical CLeansing.

Welcome to the Witch Hunter world dude!!

On live my main was a WH RR80, I played in all possible situations (soloing, group, warband) and I have tried all the possible builds.
Based on my experience I can tell you this: it's very very hard for a good player WH to overwhelm a good player healer or tank 1vs1.

Your favorite target, 1vs1, should be Sorceress and SH. Playing in assist and in a group that support you is the only way you can be really useful and effective.

It's an opportunist class, which makes it great fun because nothings for certain, the math isn't in your favour. It's also top heavy meaning it is weaker early tier and heck one of the best abilities is last to get - declare anathema! Sneak around doing what a hunter does best hit from the shadows when the times right and sneak back in when it's not. Pots are part of your ability rotation. I was rr75 or something on live and simply wish it hadn't taken frisking years to get all that stupid gear that simply levelled the playing field cos it was a blast then and I was one slippery dude. Best was popping up when others thought they were getting the jump on your realm mates somewhere. Think like a Ninja.

How do the pro WHs spec their renown points? 30 points into crit and the rest into RD?
