Squig Herder, Stabbin' line

I like to play opposite way on old Trinity class traditions. Lot of destro playing squig as ranged dps, so i thought: Why not play it as melee ? ... here we go Stabbin' line ! :)

But im a little bit disapointed, after few days of playing. A stabbin' squig play most of time on squig armor form, and 3 basics skills are not usable with.

Im talking about *Cut ya!* disease, *Don't hit me* interupt, and *Stabity* basic attack.

Allow to use these 3 skills on squig form, and add armor debuff to *Stabity* would be a good up to become a real melee dps with a Stabbin' SH and give some love to this so fun but impopular line.

Jup its nothing more than just bad class design from original devs. Stabbing skills which are not usable in Squig armor melee form(which gives You strenght from balistic skills), but still contribute from strenght are olala... a joke.

Your proposal is awesome ! But the 3 core skills listed above deserve a change, Stabbin' would become very attractive ! :o

I like this idea to use Squig as mount too :p

I like the proposed changes. One question though. Why would you limit Bad Gas only to be used in Squig Armor? Skill clearly says that its the herder that expels the gas :) it would be an unnecessary limitation for herders that like to play as rdps (especially close range ones). Slayer does not have any limitation on shatter limbs (i.e. only usable on max rage).
I don't think its a good change. Bad gas as a response for shattter limbs (which, let's be honest, is specced by nearly every slayer - destro knows it too well) should be accesible not limited to squig armor.

[edit] One more thing. Bad Gas (as well as Shatter Limbs) is an obvious and very effective addon to bomb specced chars. Squigs very effective bomb skill (shoot thru ya + expert skirmisher tactic) cannot be executed in squig armor.. So again - it would be a painful limitation.

I don't think the Stabbity tree is as bad as you make it up to be, Ive been playing it alot. And theres multiple effective ways to build it. But all the sugestions you made are really good and Iwould swap main to Melee Squig if they all went live. P

I played squig on live and I love the purposes changes . Maybe I'll up my squig to test it . It could be a new interesting gameplay . With the charges and bounces squig can make healers uncomfortable .

Was playing SH Stabbin on Official, and still playing it today. One thing to note... The spe is really not adapted to low armor set. But, you should not expect the SH to stay 100 % time in armor... It's not a Full Cac class. This is why it's Converted balistic skill in strengh instead of just strengh.

You need to switch from RDPS to CAC according to situation...

I am however still defending the spe is currently underpowered and need improvement :)
