Improvement of Immersion

I looked around for quite a bit and couldn't find anything addressing this, I do apologize if this has actually been talked about prior in any detail. I'm still fairly new.

I understand that fixing bugs is extremely important and I thank all the people involved in working on them, I actually agree that it's the most important, I was just curios as to when _naturally moving mobs_ would be implemented. The game-play is enjoyable, the one downside however is the lack of immersion from all the enemies staying in the same place and only moving once attacked or in range to attack.

This is both a suggestion but also a question as I'm ignorant of the process involved in making NPC's free roaming.

The suggestion being the implementation of free roaming NPC's but in moderation as to not put too much strain on the developers but to also keep players immersed, as immersion does play a big part in keeping players attention. In effect what I'm suggesting would be to make some NPC's roam, and some stand still, for example making the odd "Guard" NPC look like their patrolling, or make the odd animal roam around. Possibly try to make NPC's fight this way, as Warhammer is full of war, and as is a lot of NPC's sort of stare at each other romantically. (See the Ork fodder vs High Elf in the Dark Elf starting zones for reference)

Also maybe sending NPC's at eachother to duke-it-out would add a lot to the Alpha, I know some people just like watching things fight.

My question is due to my ignorance on the processes involved in actually implementing this in-game, could someone please explain it in some measure of detail? and do the current Developers know how to implement this? Thank you.

Roaming NPCs are not in the game due to constraints with modifying the client afaik (that or they haven't figured out how yet). So it probably will happen some time in the future.

NPC movement is simply not yet implemented. And it's on our list, but there are a lot of other more important things to do ^^

Thank you all very much for the information and the clarification.

Malekith is also thankful though he'll never admit it.
