40/40 Zealot Basics

Hey folks,
I know there are a few threads on zealots, but a lot of them seem oriented towards experienced/geared players around 50+ RR, so I thought I'd start one with more of an 'entry level' focus. My girlfriend recently got her zealot up to RR 40, and we're looking for a reliable healing build as well as some advice on gear, expenditure of renown points, and ability rotation in RvR situations. We've noticed that her healing output is often a bit low in SCs, though she seems to perform pretty well in small-scale roaming situations. Any tips are highly appreciated. Here's what she's got right now.
Build (Note that this as technically a RR50 build, but she can still get it at RR 40 due to Ruin armor tree bonuses): waronlinebuilder.org - Zealot build
Stats: Using willpower pots, talismans, and the zealot +160 willpower tactic, around 913 willpower total. Renown points bring her critical healing up to 13%.
Gear: Full ruin (working towards Annihilator), with a T4 Epic Quest dagger and the T3 Soldier's Emblem's +1% crit focus. Currently working towards the Officer Emblem variant. Jewelry is standard renown merchant Vanguard healer's gear, augmented by a Cloak of the Mender and Icon of the Mender (purchased with Imperious Warrants, I think).
Play-style: On the advice of other zealots, she tends to focus on single-target healing, and avoids using the group-heal in high pressure situations. She also relies primarily on Flash of Chaos, reasoning that the +15 crit tactic (hopefully) makes it more effective than Elixir of Dark Blessings. She uses it in conjunction with Tzeentch's Cordial, the absorb shield, and whatever else she has time to apply.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Ugh, I just realized that I posted this in General. Sorry! Feel free to move it.
