[Shaman] Utility of "Big Waaagh!" ?

I've been trying to figure out why I would ever use "Big Waaagh!" instead of "Brain Bursta". The only thing it seems to offer is a shorter build time (one second). It has a 5 second cooldown, does less damage, has shorter range, and costs 5 more AP. Am I missing something?

You chain them to up your burst. Use Brain Bursta first since the projectile has travel time and can proc multiple effects from tactics. Big Waaagh! is instant and as such, use that straight after. Finish up with Bunch of Waaagh! and you have the typical DPS Shaman rotation.

I get your point, though. It's a rather unimaginative and boring skill and I wish I did something unique and interesting, but oh, well...

Thanks for the answers; Big Waaagh! does have a one second build time doesn't it (rather than instant)? If so, I guess the advantage then is that because it takes half the time to cast it provides better DPS than "Brain Bursta"?

Thayli gave you the answer, Brain bursta is a proyectile with travel time, if you use one after the other you create a mini burst window, brain bursta and big waaagh will hit at the same time, people doesnt die from sustained damage in this game, they die from burst, you gotta dot up and create that window so his hp drows too dangeriously low so if anyone is assisting you, the target dies.

If u have Mechanik points IT is nearly Instant think 0,2 sec cast time so u can a burst Rotation like brain burster 1,2 chain lighnjng 1,2 Big whaag 0,2 and laser beam 2,6 time to Make about 3-5 k dmg on a squishy target its a huge burst

I meant that as soon as the spell finishes casting, the damage tick on your target is instant. Unlike Brain Bursta, which is projectile-based. So if you chain them, they roughly hit at the same time.

To give an example:
You cast Brain bursta (2s cast time) and the projectile leaves your staff. It has roughly 1s travel time before it damages your target. So there is a total of 3s before the spell "works", 2 of which you are spent casting it.

You follow this up with Big Waaagh!, which has 1s cast time (remember that second of travel time you have on Brain Bursta). This damage is instant as soon as the spell is finished casting.

The result is that you hit your target with 2 spells roughly at the same time. This is, of course, only useful if achieving burst damage is your goal. Not if maximizing DPS is your goal (but why would you play Shaman then?).

Sometimes you just wont be able to get a BB off in time. BW followed by a BoW is the shortest single global damage you can get. If someoned focused by the zerg or you just need to push a closing mdps hitpoints over. You just might now have time for a 3s burst. Ive lost count of the time someones died while casting Lance.

Only if you have the mechanic points. BB 2s cast and a 1s travel time. You can get off BW on the 1.2s global and the first tick of BoW.
