Well I will keep the ban appeals section clean, but I will not let me be silenced. Let's start off with a quote:
Azarael wrote:If you slander us, misrepresent us or otherwise disrespect us anywhere, it causes harm to our image.
What really harms your image is trying to restrict freedom of speech on a platform that you do not own and have no rights over. You have absolutely no business at all about what people write on Facebook and neither what they stream on Twitch or what they would put on Youtube. But for this you even went a step further. You actually researched who on Facebook at some point in time called "RoR devs" nazis so you can ban them weeks later in the game. I have absolutely no words for this. Next you even dare to put someone's Facebook with name on the forum without their approval. And as this is the suggestioins and feedback forum: Stop looking at other platforms than these forums and in-game.

Wrong.
I'm sick of saying this by now. The price of playing here is respect. That respect applies everywhere. We cannot prevent you from posting on Facebook or Twitch or anywhere else, and we do not monitor any of these, but we do respond if we receive evidence of having been insulted. I am sick of this rubbish in which people who post insults and bile against us feel that they are in the right because they happened to make the insult on a different platform. You are not immune because you post your crap on Facebook or Twitch or anywhere else. You violate a simple condition of playing here - that you do NOT insult us - and you are OUT. There are many such examples of orders, most obviously gagging orders, injunctions and NDAs in the real world that work on the same principle, so you don't have any grounds for this garbage beyond the usual tripe people aligned with your principles try, which is to bring up Orwell and 1984 to try to win via appealing to fear.
If you cannot deal with this, and you can hold your head high in saying to someone else that you refuse to play here because we banned someone for referring to us as "retarded Nazis" then what you do next is your decision. We will not stop. If it's such a big issue for you that you cannot call us Nazis on Facebook then go. We don't control Twitch or Facebook, so your freedom of expression stands, but you can bet your ass that if you misuse that freedom, we will employ our god damn right to make sure you don't play here any more.

What is not wrong is that doing this hurts your image more than anything ...

I just reuse my post from Azas topic here, I hope you dont mind if I dont rephrase my position:
I am sorry, but I have to disagree with you and disagree strongly. One of the major problems in our culture today is that we let such things slide. It may start with such things in the internet, someone says something and thinks.... well its just the internet. No it is not just the internet, its something that reflects on the real world. Its a bad habit and has even the power to divide whole comunities. We can see it in America right now. I dont want to start with the whole Trump and Clinton thing as it is only a minor symptom. But people cant discuss such things with each other even anymore without insulting each other. So its not just internet talk. It has meaning in the real world too. And its a frame of mind.... the frame of mind that you dont have to be polite to people just because you dont see them.... that this gives you the right to insult them. And I think thats something nobody has the duty to endure. So even if I find it sad that Dalgrimmar is banned, I really liked his videos. It is the right choice made considering, that he obviously thought it would me a much minor offense to insult people he didnt know and didnt have to see as to insult people who actually can talk back. I think it has its reasons that this became a legal offense in Germany for which people got judged in the recent futur. If you want to know where that mindset leads us, you can look up news about pegida and the number of arsens and assults against people that think different in Europe in the last two years.
I
So I say the devs should react even to that mindset, that you dont have to be polite on the internet.... its the begining.
So now I stop my wall of text, sorry for that.^^

Yes, and that's the next thing you try. "If you ban those people it'll only hurt your image, because they / we will appeal to Orwell and you'll automatically lose."
No. If you think I'm going to back down to that, you've got another thing coming. Justice first, political rubbish second. Simple as that.
I think a core point is getting lost here as well, that being:
We have no interest in banning all of our players.
The difference between me and other servers is that that principle comes
below and not above "To every man as he deserves."
