gain and lose gain

I'm wondering on what would happen if we lose Experience and Renown when we die or when we lose a keep or a Battle Objectiv ?
All gain for a realm will result a lose gain for the other realm.
Is this will give more challenge ?
This will give more dimension in terms of progression, who is currently totaly linear ?

All it'll do is that people will avoid unfavourable engagements even more so than now.

Definately a hot contender for worst idea so far!

I 'm not sure, you have just a bad opinion of warhammer players, I do not think like you.
And your vehement commentary "!" for a simple question "?" for a game suggestion is just hilarious.

He's right, though. All that will happen is that people will back off from any engagement where they can't see themselves winning. This already happens in RvR, partly because of poor combat design and partly because of poor respawn mechanics.

For me is just a game, I can't understand how think these persons you describe. Personaly I realy don't care about Xp, Rr and you can apply that change on my characters, I will give you my feedback.
That linear progression is finaly really boring for me.
And I think that encourage a bad mentality for good players.
But ok you are more experienced than me about this and thanks take time for reply.

I see regularly that keep defenders retreat or respawn in wc shortly before the Inner door goes down so that the other side don't get a loot roll or more renown.

If the players would loose renown or xp they would flee even before that.

while I can understand where the OP is coming from as aza stated our playerbase (at least a big part of it) would then cower from engagements they think they would not win.

This coupled with the threat of xrealming (or simply big swings in population balance of the factions) is not a good mix.
