Replace ORVR Loot Bag Roll System

Honestly it is the biggest slap in the face for ROR players to participate in the capturing, or a loss, of a zone. Sometimes for hours on end capping and fighting for battle objectives and coordinating with your realm to literally not get a single thing. AND then see some dude who walked in 5 minutes before the region was capped and slap another player with a random attack or heal an ally for some minor amount and win a bag.

I know this cause I've been both. This system is just infuriating for many and is a huge turnoff to play in the next zone capture cause why waste that much time again if you're going to get nothing, better yet be the guy who walks in before zone cap, kicks someone in the shin and wins a gold bag. It's far more efficient... i know i'll be doing it sooner or later and so will everyone else.

Instead of having a set amount of bags that are then RNG rolled by everyone who participated... Seriously 2 gold bags, 2 purple, 4 blues, then 12-something greens? for 200+ people at times? Have everyone have their own individual roll based on their own contribution to the zone cap. Take into account what they gained in terms of RR and INF when the zone is capped for a base level contribution (basically. contributed a **** ton = guaranteed white bag). Then let people see their roll and in order to get that glorious gold or purple they have to roll that high number themselves while not competing with anyone else.

Just a thought, i still hate it when i've rolled a 800-900 only to get absolutely nothing cause of the large amount of people who rolled over 1000.

TL:DR: no more set number of bags for the server. Don't treat it like a PQ, individual rolls to get a bag. Something like 300 = white bag, 400 = green, 600 = blue, 800 = purple, and 1000 = gold.

if your goal was bag that maybe the source of problem.
do u remember how did u get anni set?
many ppl gathered medals and bought it. few lucky ppl got it from gold.
primary method was orvr, not gold bag.

maybe it's because reward gap
1 or 2 medals vs loot worth of 300 medals
bigger gap = bigger cry

i recommend reduce reward gap so ppl can suck up or ignore differences
maybe gold bag = 50 medals?

I agree that they need to fix this system, doing basicly nothing to help take keep/lock zone and you win gold bag is really bad system and promote even more afk playstyle for people.

Well you're right for conq. stuff. I don't have a problem farming it in orvr with killing people. Takes some time but I will eventually get there. However there is nothing you can do to get genesis or the new purples which just sucks.

If you can come up with the perfect contribution system, with all the formulas then show it. It sounds to me like people just want some free conq gear for helping push a zone every time. What are you going to do once you have full Conq at rr50? Whats the purpose then to keep playing? Some maybe for fun, but some people want to have the BiS gear.

The bag count is low to drag the gear progression out as long as possible. You need to realise that this is the current end game, and the devs wish you to keep playing by giving you a Carrot on a Stick.

I remember grinding for weeks to get Sovereign on live, and it only bothered me if some RR40 player managed to grab a gold bag in the final stage, but only because of the renown difference. Here it doesn't really bother me because renown levels aren't needed yet.

Seeing that the max rng roll is 1000, I doubt people can just turn up and win a gold bag in a large fight when the rolls are usually 1200-1300 for Golds.

As the time-honored tradition of locking threads over things that will probably never happen demands...

The bag system has been fine for, well basically the entire life of the game. We may work on contribution, but the element of luck will not be going away.
