The Skirmisher SW

I think a skirmish focus mastery is the most common for SWs. Is the model more skirmish/assault or skirmish/scout? How do SWs look at this issue?

Haha so many SW posts recently. First, I recommend looking at other threads on SWs. Lots of info was covered there that you will find useful. As it currently stands, I would say most people have a Skirm/Scout hybrid build. Get Powerful Draw and Shadow Sting, then depending on your playstyle you can try Fester Arrow and Enchanted Arrows or you can just get Flanking Shot and Glass Arrow. I think your main job is to be a dot bot and to use your silence and rkd in fights correctly.

Thank you for the reply. So, the skirmisher focus doesn't typically go up to take Barrage, but stops at Powerful Draw?

Personally speaking, I took Barrage when I was a little lower rr (for an instant finisher that didn't require the target to be facing away from me... currently sitting rr60+), then I moved into a Fester build, now I'm sitting at:

RoR.builders - Shadow Warrior

I moved away from Fester because it was gimmicky (again.. see other threads), and feel I do more as a secondary dps source for my group -- the build above is focused on layering damage on a target and using finishers when they're low to assist your main dps. As a SW I find you don't have a lot of burst (outside of the fester spec -- again it's gimmicky), so this is my niche atm. I also spec relatively defensively, opting for CW3 and deft defender with one rank into the ranged crit chance I think.

u need all 3 stances to maximize the potential of sw but skrim/assault is a good start

Skirm/Assault is the main warband spec.

Mistake :) no need 2nd tree for wb spec. All to 3 with all skills and glass arrow for kb)

Why would you ever spec for Glass Arrow?
And No Respite is the highest dps increaser of all tactics.

Zerg surf aoe/killsteal speccRoR.builders - Shadow Warrior
Also using as regular specc with different tactics. As I'm only rr50+, requires merc. Slotted with WS atm. 970 bs, 700 ws, 6200 wounds, 22% crit in assault stance. Two instant aoe skills for ks/contribution.
