[Sorc] Trying something new

As the topic says, I've decided to try out Sorcerer. Any tips, tricks and builds to help out?

The trick with the sorc is to make all your abilities hit at once, making a burst window healers can't stop unless they are really watching for it.
This was the build I used to use, I'd imagine its still pretty viable.
The rotation is:
Ice spikes (if in range) ->
Chillwind ->
Word of Pain ->
Artic Blast ->
Gloomburst ->
Impending Doom ->
Hand of Ruin (1 tic)
You can throw vision of torment in before word of pain if you're getting cleansed a lot and need to "hide" the spell. In a matter of just a few seconds this puts somewhere around 5-10k damage on a target depending on your gear and crits.
At lower levels, its the same thing, with whatever skills you have. I know nothing about AoE bomb spec however, so someone can detail that (and correct anything I've said incorrectly as its been a few months).

Thats the go-to ST spec and rota respectively. Glad no one yet tried to reinvent the wheel in this thread as it comes to ST.
Things worth playing around with are TTD (Tapping the Dark) and FF (Frozen Fury) if you are up against disrupt heavy comps (that soak up your rota) whilst running an assisttrain with a mdps.
Haste heavy classes or those with rapidly hitting channels; e.g. dps DoK/monstro Mara/Choppa with a good GSI management/..., benefit greatly from TTD+FF, given the lack of ICD on FT. You basicly eliminate fluff dps entirely and a good chunk of slayer sustained dps, among other things.
You could try to revive one of the old bubble comps, especially if the members of your group have access to the sets with the ICD lacking bubble proc.
As it comes to bombing... well... it should be obvious what yields the best result. You are advised to run with a monstro Mara to get a reliable ini debuff and be able to drop the garbage 3s cast one you have access to - especially whilst bombing with a monstro Mara you want to run TTD+FF.
You can basicly AoE burst via GoN+IS+(SS+)DC+IW+PoS(1tick)+SK(2ticks)+DC+....
