Eternal Citadel - Balance Broken

Developers, if you can not fix this 6x6 scenario please remove it from the list. In ALL queues I entered it, we were 6x7, 6x8 and always with more players to the side of the enemies.

This scenario is great at 6x6! ;)

Have you seen 7 players fighting at the same time? Or on the scoreboard? Maybe some of them left and new players replaced them. They will all still show in the scoreboard, so you end up seeing something like 10 (but only fought 6 at the same time).

I just saw 8 dest x 6 order ... we lost in 60seg.

If I knew this was not a common mistake I would have recorded!

Yes this sc is broken had one few days ago we were 6vs 8 . we won though, praise be morla and chifli :twisted:

I guess not to do with balance, but balanced gameplay in this SC.

Why is it people whine when I play golf with them and get a hole in one? I wasn't aware punting players into the hole was bad etiquette. Surely punting players into the hole is their bad positioning being used against them effectively?

anyways beware my uber golf skills in this sc, I wont stop punting

Keep punting them. It is not bad etiquette, it is merely bad positioning and situational awareness on their part. Punish them for it.

Most premades that participate in 6v6 (LoB, DnD, Starilas, CCM) don't punt into the void, and most requested that a wall be placed to avoid such punts (about a year ago there was a poll). The wall was enforced for a while, but for some strange reason reverted, and replaced with a wonky mechanic that can bring people back from the abyss (?).

EC is as close an arena-type map for 6v6 as there is; CW has npc guards people can kite to, and a flag mechanic that losers will try to capture instead of actually fighting. Don't get me wrong, I like flag scenarios - but there are 3000 other scenarios for that. It isn't about 'bad positioning' when you can literally get punted by a BG/IB from almost any angle in the map (it's a box) into the void.

By all means, carry on doing it - but don't expect to be taken seriously by other premades who would rather their gameplay (rather than a punt that results in instadeath) dictate the battle. Would be nice to have that wall back (at least for the non-pug variant of EC).

So instead of agreeing not to cap the flag or kite towards guards in CW, you want an invisible wall to ruin what is probably the most fun thing about EC. Because 6v6.

Keep your walls out of my EC.

Again: Ryan was the one to make the poll, aimed towards the 6v6 community - who voted almost overwhelmingly for a wall to be placed.

And again: by all means, keep the walls out of the non-premade variant of EC that pops.

@Torque: then what was the point of having such a poll in the first place? Lul :lol:
