Based on his words for his faction i think their will a "hunt" mechanic where perhaps you will be rewarded if you kill monsters or high tier units/lord characters or perhaps you are rewarded with more exp/loot if you either fight or defeat armies in battles where the balance of power is not in your favor

No this is the bonus given for TW:WH 1 owners if they per order TW:WH2
otherwise it can be purchased at a later date

Steam page up. Faction sounds literally perfect: can dedicate yourself to one of the four chaos gods by constructing monoliths in the ashes of razed settlements. Can dedicate individual characters to chaos gods to specialize them. War Mammoth mount for lords. Skin Wolves. Ability to conquer capital cities of other faction s and plunder their tech trees. Can absorb other Norscan tribes after dueling and killing their chieftain. Berserker faction mechanic in battle. FIMIR (blast from the past holy ****).
Looks like Marauder isn't just OP in RoR anymore

so theres warriors of chaos and then theres this? would the two factions be at odds with one another?

yeah you can do the same thing with beatmen, support the chaos invasion by working in tandem with the WoC or you can oppose it

Yes i love the "end game" mechanic, dedicate your self to one god and have to fight off champs from the other 3
But im a bit bummed as i like undivided
