My Flying Lion

So, my Lion (I call her Elven) always wanted to be a bird. As a mother, I was unsure at first. "But, Elven... you're a lion! You don't have any wings!" I would say, obviously blind to Elven's talent. Maybe it was my criticism that made Elven fly. Elven felt that she had to prove me wrong, fueling her desire to fly. Or, maybe I'm trying to my wrong doings of not being supportive in light by taking credit, indirectly. We never know what our kids will be, I've been taught that it's best to just support their dreams. Thank you.
