Return of Reckoning

I had a char with a specific name. I wanted to reroll the char to start a fresh and so I deleted and attempted to recreate the char but it told me the name was invalid.

I've done this numerous times before and never had any issues. I've also tried to whisper the name and a player isn't found. Nor can I add them to my friend's list and they don't show on the armory. Can anyone help me, please?

I've just tested this with a new alt exact same issue. If anyone is planning on re-using a name I'd hold off for now somethings not working right at the moment.

from the patch notes:

-Added a limit so you cant make a character with a name that has been deleted before the server restarts (this is because if you make one, it wont be playable anyway since the old character is still cached)

This is as stated before if you recreate a character with the same name before a reboot, more often then not it will bug out a lot and quite often prevent you from playing

What is the average wait time for a server restart? Is this a normal thing that occurs?

The same just happened to me.
I just have found this amazing project and now i cant use the name i intended to. All I wanted is to change the haistyle I was using and now, the Name is already taken so after server rebott it will be available again?

you can change hairstyles in the capital cities, there is a barber/surgeon there.

oh alright thank you for that. but the "damage" is already done when does the server normally restart?
