Questions about the crit %

I'm posting this for a guldie who is having issues with creating new threads for some reason. Anyway, here are the questions:
Hey all!
I have a few questions/examples about crit% and how to reduce them.
I hope to get some answers/clarification.
These are very simple examples and the numbers are not 1:1 applied in game.

Example1:

I have 0% chance to become crit hit and have 100 initiative.

Enemy has:
10% cit and has 100 initiative.

My chance to recieve a critical hit is 10% correct?


Example2:

I have 0% chance to become crit hit and have 100 initiative.
But now i buy -3% from the renown trainer.

Enemy has:
10% cit and has 100 initiative.

My chance to recieve a critical hit is STILL 10% (not -3% + 10% = 7%) correct?

Example3:

I have 0% chance to become crit hit and have 150 initiative.

Enemy has:
10% cit and has 100 initiative.

My chance to recieve a critical hit is <10% because my initiative is 50 higher then my enemy, correct?

1) Yes

2) No, it's 7%

3) No; initiative is a defensive stat and not an offensive one. The attacker's init has no impact on their ability to crit.

Initiative increases your chance to dodge, so it competes with the attackers ballistic skill.

so its worth to spec negative chance to be crit, even its not showing at the char?
