Return of Reckoning

I'm trying to get my friend to play this server but powerleveling him is too slow. What is gained by this? New players questing and doing whatever don't level up quick either so why would they want to stick around

Because your playing on the server. You can play with him at level 16 ish. Just not in Sc's.

I've never found lvling hard. It can be boring if you grind out pve, but getting to lvl 40 is pretty quick. Getting RR40 does take awhile, but that's because you have to play and can play with everyone else(who's 16+)

I recently went back to DaoC Uthgard server on a whim. Max level is 50, I was on my level 34 Theurgist, a pet spamming class made for soloing mobs. It took me just over an hour pulling orange cons at a leisurely pace to get 1 bubble which is 1/10th of a level. I've said this time and again, the leveling in this game is Hello Kitty Island Adventure compared to OG MMOs.

If you think leveling is slow in this game try Aion then get back to me.

Leveling isn't slow. Powerleveling is slow. A mix of questing, PQ's, scenarios, and RvR along the way will keep you busy all the way to R40. That's how we planned it.

I have always found leveling to be the best part of an MMO.

Rerolled my Slayer because I missed out on the hunters set and enjoy T1 so much.

That set like T1 elf inf is either easy as hell to get or near impossible. All due to how bad the Nordland beach bum syndrome is one particular week.

Rather frustrating from a development perspective. Sometimes incentives do absolutely nothing against long standing habit. We put in a fair amount of work to make Elf and Dwarf RvR zones more playable.

Yep, can't change player mentality sometimes.
