(Slayer) Looking for boots

Out of curiosity I bought the 5gold app item from the merchant next to the ruin vendors.

Turns out to be a simple pair of long trousers that can be dyed any colour without a fancy buckle. I was happy as an orc in dung!

I want a simple appearence for my slayer that matches the lore. So all my merc/anni gear uses simple T1 appearence with just a T4 looking weapon like slayers appeared on tabletop.

What I need is a decent pair of boots as I hate sandals. Using the merc boots but I'm looking for a pair without the fancy shin guards.

Can anyone help?

Love what you're going for. I do the same on my Choppa.

I don't have a Slayer, or play Order, so I can't help you with specifics on a pair of Boots. But on my Choppa I use some like Lv 2 Greens, because they're realistic leather/fur footwraps that look really good for a naturalistic aesthetic. So you may have some luck farm some lvl 1-5 mobs.

Best of luck :)

There used to be a simple iron shod boots back when T3 was the highest tier, but these now had their skin changed to some generic green item looks

So far the only full boots I encountered are these 'fancy' gold boots from T4, but I'm guessing you are fully aware of them and not fitting your desired look

Most slayers, in artwork and modelwise, went barefoot didnt they?

It's another matter tbh, Gotrek himself wears ironshod heavy boots, but models and in artworks slayers are usually barefoot

There was about a 50/50 mix of barefoot and boots in the model range.
I had a Karak Kadrin themed army back in the day.

I always tried to use the models with boots for my army. Always cursed the lack of plastic slayers in the range.

Huh the more you know eh? I shoulda known this, had quite a few slayer models myself back in the day. The 6th ed metal dwarf models, like the slayers and ironbreakers and longbeards, were some of the best models GW ever made.

Also, you might want to look around some of the t3 pve chapter influence rewards. Maybe some of the early t4 ones in Kadrin Valley. Many of the 2nd and 3rd rewards are boots. Pretty easy to grind out a whole bar of influence in about 30 mins at a pq.

Aye will do that after my daily rvr torture.

I understand why mythic did it, had to make the gear look shiny as it scaled, but I hate slayer bling.

The point is you take the oath and give up all your possessions to your clan or those you wronged and only go out in trousers and optional footwear.

The odd torc/armlet is ok but all the bling on endgame slayers is very lore-breaking for me. Only shiny a Slayer should have is the weapon.

I do model my general look on Gotrek. He is, to me, the ideal of a Slayer.

I agree. Shiny slayer makes no sense. Their gear should have been more in the vein of trophies or scars or tattoos. That woulda been cool.

I heard about invisible shoulders and boots but was unable to locate them.

I would love if we could just uncheck show item like we can with our helm.
