There are only 2 things you CAN do as a choppa in a RvR situation

If you in a group of premade players you go your single target build and then you along with your premade 6 man and bully solo players in the rvr lake for easy medals and rr

In your in a war band you exist solely to spam AoE exhaust and lotsa choppin because firstly you have no AoE morales to bomb with and secondly chop fasta and everything else in the AoE tree is trash

WB choppa was utterly boring before as you were nothing more than a walking buff bot that no one really needed in their premade warbands and is even more boring now

Choppa needs get better to enjoy playing it.

One of these atleast: Better aoe damage & range, more utility, lessened penalties with rage.

This comes from rr60 chopper.

Die, release, die release.
If you're OP you clear your wounds debuff as well.

problem with choppa is that its archtypev is slayer that fits perfectly with it faction role and has viable trees. Choppa has terrible abilities in Aoe tree. 2hand tree is super situational and subpar. Leaving only savage that has a heal and heal debuff , what do you think 90% of players going to take?
If changes are made to choppa order will want changes to slayer and that could mean even more OP slayer. I believe you will not see any changes made to this class anytime soon so I hung my choppa back up after a few days of testing to try and find some changes that could be made without
taking slayer into the WL area code.

All i could come up with was making all rage exhausting abilities NOT have a weapon REQUIREMENT to allow for more diversity in builds. A dev said that the animations of the ability will probably render this proposal obsolete.

The rage mechanism is to punishing in this range fest iteration of the game. You cant get your defense high eough while maximizing dps like you could n live. The reduction in main stat aswell as increaser stats like crit is far less than in live where choppa could use talis, renown, an mixing gear to obtain a build that allowed you to actually have time to react to being focused or not die from AOE damag.
As of now choppa is a shell of what it was on live.

In a decent warband your job should be about 4:1 AOE spam to single target focusing. Don't be the first person to run in to an enemy blob, as you're big and easy to click by RDPS. Run into the thick of things 1-2 seconds after you clash and spam your AOE, constantly looking for game objects (banners, flags, rocks etc.) to break off enemy ranged channeled abilities. When AOE spamming make sure you have the nearest, squishiest, in range target targetted so your auto attack is hitting on them, and be eyeing all the order players around you for non-tanks that are worth appyling a heal debuff to, or are low enough health to tap with Slasha/In da soft spot. You need to maintain an awareness of the fight going on outside of your immediate melee range as well because you'll need to know when to dump rage with your AOE ability and back off 3-5 seconds BEFORE things turn bad.

Don't bother without a guard who KNOWS how to stick to you like glue though, otherwise any 3s KD = death.

Choppa's fill a crucial role in the development of rvr in that they are there to test whether it's possible to crash the server due to constant death. Without Choppas performing this crucial function, we may never know if a toon suffering death after death after death after death, etc, etc, etc, etc, has any harmful effects on the health of the server. Godspeed, all you Choppas. Godspeed.

I don't quite understand why the M4 in the left tree gets no luv in large scale, pair it up with a Mara (Wrecking Ball, yumyum) and a Shaman (for the morale pump) and you are fine. That is if the M4 got no ICD treatment yet...
