Mitigation doesn't count towards the damage cap so he was 400 under

That doesn't sound right at all. Where did you read that about mitigation not counting?

A better question might be, why is a 4.5k instant cast 100ft range ability part of this game? Serious question.

Would like to hear back from a mod regarding both.

I did not read it anywhere, I have gone over the 4k Limit myself if we count mitigation, so always assumed it was working as intended. As far as the damage idk how you got hit that high i have 60 toughness and far from capped resist Hit by the same sorc, no where close.

With shammy & sorc skill he can boost his damage 25% inflicted with full dark magic critical and capped int + magic power. That number can easily happen.

This looks like wc buff and nothing else.

If thats true i think its ok...theres classes in order who are so OP as Shamm/Sorc agaisnt diferent ppl.
