Hi guys , I have a question regarding the tanking of lords in rvr . Is their certain abilities that produce more hate than others , other than the one that states it does ( seems ineffective so far ) . Does my debuff abilities affect hate ? Tactics wise I found out long held grudge doesn’t work as I get an error message when equipping . I keep menace but not sure what other tactics might affect hate ? Perhaps increased chance to crit ?
Taunts are used of course , and for the most part I can hold the lord for the most part of a fight however I am finding that every minute or so I will lose aggro , often to a healer , sometimes lose it two or three times in a row before holding him again . Is threat purely based off dmg and taunts or would using grumble and mutter off cd be effective for my hate ? Am I doing something wrong by losing aggro on lord or is this a common ib issue ? Also I’m using rising anger to maintain my grudges as high as poss while tanking . Any feedback much appreciated

Well, losing aggro is probably healers fault. G'n'm can increase your hate I feel.

Spam grudging blow, use chellenge..
You can do all that, but if kotbs do same he will get aggro

This makes me feel better. Consensus is also to cross guard , perhaps I should be switching guard to healer then when they aggro ? Or just punish them for not detaunting haha ?

What does Knight have with regards to hate generation that ib doesn’t ? Do auras create hate ?

On Your Guard! (the thorns aura) may cause additional threat.

A swordmaster can hold aggro indefinitely using blessing of heaven and blurring shock. Until another tank taunts, then the boss will turn for about 1s then back to you.
