Started out facing 200% AAO and ragequit down to them having 20%AAO after 3 hours (185k reknown made)

Pretty good, without diving into details about the pros and cons of running WL over BW (because that would give too much away how to counter)
the WLs deffo have their role in a warband setting now, so the changes to the class was a very nice addition for largescale, smallscale is not my cuppa so I have no comment on soloroaming or 6man.
