Return of Reckoning

Greetings!

For some reason, a few days ago I wondered if there was a Warhammer MMO. After going down a few rabbit holes, I found this, which seems pretty cool and worth trying out (for at least a while).

I do have a few questions, though (if this is an okay place to ask them): is there anything that newer players should avoid doing / attempt to do? (other than following the rules, because that's common sense). If it matters, from looking over the classes on the wiki (while the game is downloading) i'm most interested in the Dwarven Runepriest and the Goblin Shaman.

Also, is it better to jump into PvP ASAP, or wait until a certain point?

You can go instantly to RvR and queue scenarios, not much reason to wait for something.

No matter which type of PvP you play, it will also increase your renown level, a secondary layer of character progression.
This "layer" is later required to wear gear and it also grants you indirect points you can spend on passive stats.

With the first char I would recommend to get your renown up and don't speed PvE grind to 40.
This way you develop a good feeling for your char.

If you enter a RvR area your stats will get bolstered.
The gear you wear is relevant for that bolster (or more like the gears level).
So I would recommend checking for upgrades.

Both fine classes.
RP is considered a bit more "meta"; but I wouldn't care too much.
