[WE] Stealth Mechanic

I have a question about the stealth mechanic. I can enter stealth just fine on a 35s cooldown, but for some reason it will absolutely not let me leave or cancel stealth until I either hit something with an Ailment or wait for the timer to wear off. Is there a trick to cancel stealth early of my own accord?

Ex: Sometimes I stealth, then 10 seconds later I realize either I've missed my opportunity or didn't end up needing it in the first place, only to have to wait 25 more seconds for it to even wear off before a 35 second cooldown starts ticking away until I can use it again...In cases like this, I sometimes have to wait over a minute to restealth or 20-30 seconds even just to get on my horse. I've tried hitting the button again obviously, I've tried mounting my horse while stealthed (nothing happens), I've tried hitting any number of skills aside from my Ailments, which does nothing...it's very frustrating.

To further add to this, if I stealth just before a scenario ends, and then leave the scenario once the score screen pops up, I'm stuck in stealth permanently until I relog. I cannot use an Ailment to hit a target to leave stealth, I cannot initiate stealth again (or cancel it in anyway), and if I somehow find myself in combat I cannot use any skills at all. It's 100% death rate if I get engaged before I can relog. In order to regain any functionality of my character at all, I must first relog - even dying doesn't fix it.

Can anyone help me out here? I'm almost positive you could leave stealth at any time in the live version of the game, but I cannot seem to figure out how in RoR. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated!

Use the same button you used for stealth to quit it. You might have to add the skill to your hotbar.

You should be able to leave stealth by clicking the same button you used to go into stealth as Sulorie stated. The scenario bug can be worked around by clicking off stealth before you click the leave button when the sc ends.

This ↑ and if ever you forget to click off stealth before joining/leaving a Sc, you can fix the problem by using Flee, it somehow resets your toolbar after the 30s (or if you drink AP pots of course). It takes time, but it used to work.

Just use stealth again to reset skill bar.

Perfect! I'm at work a few more hours so I can't test it just yet, but I will try these suggestions when I get home. If this is the case, I think I've been running into a couple of ironic issues.

1) My stealth button is on my primary bar, so when I stealth I don't have the ability to hit the same hotkey again due to it switching to the stealth mode bar. I didn't think this would be an issue because I've tried manually clicking the stealth class mechanic button (not the one I had to place on my hotbar) and it does nothing. It always pops up a tooltip to the side in the background that says 'bloodlust' though, so I think maybe my bloodlust meter is "covering it up" in my current UI layout which makes me unable to click it.

2) My flee button is also on my primary bar because I haven't leveled up to the point where I have enough skills that I necessarily need to move it yet :P So when I would get stuck in stealth mode after an SC, I was unable to test the Flee skill specifically. I assumed it wouldn't work since it's not a combat ability...(Also like to note that it's my bad for not paying attention after running into this issue several times, but that doesn't make not having a fix any less annoying haha).

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate you taking the time to help a RoR noob out. WE has always been my favorite so these issues were discouraging. It's almost made it too annoying to play the class when plenty of good non-stealth options are available.

You should also see the stealth icon on your stance bar...not just action bar

Gotcha, although I think that's the official term for what I referred to as the "class mechanic button" lmao. And in other news, I put the stealth skill on my secondary hotbar and it does let me exit just fine. I feel dumb, but at the same time I thought I was trying the right things. I haven't had a chance to test the sc/permastealth bug fix yet.

What's the difference between shadow prowler and the other stealth?
Read tooltip? :)
Long time stealth or short time stealth with charge as gap closer.
