Dose bane shield work for ranged attacks on chosen? Magic attacks?

Does it work for blocked/parried/dodged/disrupted attacks?

Is there a cooldown in between bane shield ticks? (Example a DW slayer - each default attack ticks along with any ability attacks on chosen)

I've been having a lot of fun overextending and aoe staggering the backline, then popping shield wall m2 and hold the line when i start to get focused on to mitigate damage so my healers can catch up, taking the heat off my teammates while they all try (and fail) to kill a low hp target. Adding bane shield when I get it may be a lot of fun - or a complete failure

4.bane shield especially with dire shielding and back lash and fluct arua and some thorn pots makes for good thornchosen its my current setup and by far chosens best dmg output it also has multi uses such as pve aoe farming solo roaming and zerg trolling but all ur dmg will be on hit so for you to put out you have to make them beat on ya, its a amusing build ive had a sw and a engie kill theirselves while i just stood there

How often can bane shield tick per person per second max then? 1? 1 every 1.5 seconds?
