Hi - I recently hit 24, and I choose to put my talent points in the path of the rifleman tree. I am up to 10 points, and I cannot find the abilities called crack shot and snipe in my ability book or bars. How can I find these abilities, so i can add them to my bars and use them? Please let me know.

If you need more info on the engi, check the Bitterstone Dwarf Handbook.

Thanks for the replies. I believe I am putting the points in the abilities. I am using the + icon when putting points in the tree. Is there something I need to do in addition to that?

Click on the ability you want to have. For example click on snipe and you need a point to get snipe.

Don't worry, I was bothered by this as well when I started playing!
It may not make sense at first, but you quickly get used to it, and when I started playing again a couple days ago and found these controls again, I felt like entering my childhood bedroom after all of this time!
