Population cap in zones. Good or bad?

1. Would it reduce lagg in the zone?
2. Would it spread the action to more zones = less megazergs?
3. Would it ruin the chance to push for fortress?
4. Would it split up WBs/friends and force them into different zones and missing the fun with playing together?
I dont know if is even possible to do this, and maybe it is a stupid idea.
What do you guys think about this, good and bad things?

I can summarize your question to : " Make OPEN RvR > CLOSED RvR good?"
It is a question ofc. But going this way open some questions about consequencies :
- Would you agree to wait to join your friends/guild/premade to enter a zone because pop is capped?
- If your warband had some needs of a specific class, would you leave the zone to let another player enter it ? Would it assure your warband to find this precise class?
- Would closed RvR be as fun as open rvr ?

you are right yali, the people must learn, if more zones are open, it is better to spread out instead they all fight in one zone , multiple zone attacks are better as just in one zone, that is the solution. and this solution the palyers must learn

There are already zones with capped/controlled population.
They are called Scenarios.

I don't know how you'd gate populations from oRvR zones aside from altering the AAO systen maybe to reward more even populations. I don't know how it could be done, but I don't think it would be wrong to say that a 100 vs 100 oRvR zone is a lot more fun and rewarding to fight through than 150 vs 50.
