Return of Reckoning

So, I've been trying to solve this problem, but whatever I tried didn't help at all and I'm having the same problem.

I've downloaded the game through the "Download Full Game" option and not the torrent one. The first time I installed it, I just downloaded the English version and when I launched it, I received the following error:

I went to the forum to try and find a solution to the problem. I tried to re-install the game in all the versions, didn't work. I went to the folder's properties to disable the only read option, didn't work. In many similar cases in the forums, not many solutions were provided for this mess. I even made another post about this problem and I received only one answer, which was a question about if I had downloaded all the basic languages in windows and if I downloaded in English or another language, I answered back and then no answer at all. I didn't install any addons and I've never even had the official game in my pc.

I also think that some files may be missing. Could someone please help me out?

Obvious answer is to make sure that the game directory and all sub folders have write protect removed.
This sometimes can be a problem if you placed the game under /program file/..
Try place contents under c:/ror/

If all else start game as admin

I've already removed the write protect from the game directory and its subfolders. It was one of the recommendations in the forums. Another recommendation was also to move the game directory to the program files folder. I also always start the game as admin. And I can't find that path, for some reason.

Maybe a type error but when u say “move the game to programs” I strongly recommend not having it there as windows does thing like automatically write protects things there
Place it in c:\ror worth trying

Might help if you type that Greek message in English , could give some clue as to the problem

As I said previously, I can't find the path you're recommending me to move the game directory to.

You need to create the directory, that’s why is does not exist

My suggestion is use file explorer to create directory c:\ror
Then copy the game there
Check it is not write protected

Just a guess as that message seems not to be what I would expect, try this and see.

I tried it, but no luck, unfortunately. Thanks for your time and patience, though. I really appreciate it.

I've downloaded the game directly, which I think may be the issue here. The instructions to download the game were focused on the torrent download and it is recommended, from the searching I've done, to download the game via torrent. I don't have anything to lose, except from my time, anyway.

My suspicions were right. I also followed your advice, about the folder and stuff. Thank you so much for your help, mate. The client seems to work properly now.

Thanks for the feedback, not always easy to guess the problem
