Victim mentality won't do anything for you. You wanna be ignorant to the facts, that's your prerogative. Cheers.

Umm, no? BG has a % scaling based on its toughness, that's how it can go really high. IB's is a flat number, and when you spec 2H, that number is so low you are better off with a 80 toughness potion... Seriously people should stop living in legends and videos of a previous era/gear level.
requiring you to commit a tactic slot for that

Just utterly hilarious anyone would claim BG is superior to IB in any way. BG maybe has the DPS advantage slightly, but my god. BG is such a fucking joke of a class compared to IB. You must realize this. The parry/initiative buff alone is bananas bonkers. Then put the %10 crit on top and come on. Be real.

The thread is about 2H potential, and I agree that BG is superior to all others except the SM in 2h wielding. The class simply synergies well with 2h weapons, while IB does with Shield and Hammer.

Wow BG is so much more powerful than its "mirror" it's not even a competition... it's like mixed knight survivablity and IB's damage into one class and buff it by 100%... and people wondering why Order lacks tanks...
People usually claim that the BG is far too weak in comparison to IB. The IB gets loads of bonuses making it very hard to kill.

2H BG and IB are both very, very potent classes that are entirely viable (mandatory, in some instances). Anyone saying otherwise just hasn't played the class properly.

@OP, I feel 50% parry at 100 hate is too low. You want to invest more in that. Above 65% imo.
As for stats, big wounds (close to 9k or more helps a lot). Then drop crit chance. In the end with good gear and talis, no need to invest in strength or thoughness. I could run basically wounds/resist talis in good gear and still reach 550-650 strength/toughness. Which always was enough.

For the rest, I haven't played in a long time, but I feel the discrepancy felt between 2H BG and 2H IB is simple :

Ib is a do it all kinda tank, 2H, it has only 1 real useful spec.
BG is a specialist tank, you chose : spec A or spec B. There is no middle ground.

So of course, a BG offensively spec is better than IB at that.
A BG defensively spec is better than IB at that.
But its never better at both. And it never looks remotely as good.
