A few of us asked what this MMR thing is all about on the change patch thread, but everyone is so focused on the neutering of yet another Order class, so ...

What is MMR?

How does it work?

What is it for?

"Match Making Rating"

Most commonly used in wow arena or Moba games, i think.

Basicly you played in a ranked enviroment and based on your win/losses you will get a hidden rating (shown in this game's case) refered to as ELO or MMR. Then when you win a match vs people with higher or lower rating than yourself your point increase/decrease will be determined based on that.

Something like that, im sure someone can explain it a little better since its been ages since i tried to be competitive in smallscale arenatype games

So the higher number you see in MMR, the better?

Matchmaking Rating (also known as "MMR") is a number calculated for each player to match them with players of similar skill in PvP.
The intent behind MMR is to match players by skill. This is accomplished by comparing an assigned number (MMR) that adjusts based on the relative MMR of the opponents you win or lose to. Matching players by their effectiveness or performance helps make sure that less experienced players aren't always getting stomped by expert players, and that competitors at all levels are earning their victories by battling players of roughly equivalent ability. MMR isn't intended to be a "PvP score"—its primary function is in matchmaking.

Let's hope that it will be accurate :)

MMR is the base of a PVP score.

But to get it's full potential a high playerbase is needed. So que up for solo ranked. ;)

From my understanding the queue pops will just fireoff when 2-2-2 vs 2-2-2 is available and the MMR will not be taking into account when a caledorwood sc pop. instead the points you win lose in the end depending on who won, will be factored in based on everyones MMR?

Simply because the server pop doesnt have enough players to make scenarioqueues based of MMR. as that would lead to long queues and situations as you see in other arena/moba games were the top MMR holding players sit more in queue waiting for equally matched players to play with, because its lonely on the top.

I hope they don't. Those players are generally pretty bad, they have a huge negative impact on the chances of winning a scen. They sure do like to talk a lot though, and they're overly confident. They're the first to get toxic and blame others for their failure, and they whine about how they're forced to do scens to get the weapons.
