Return of Reckoning

Hi, I'm getting the following. I've also just installed and running the launcher for the first time. The launcher patched then started downloading the manifest. That is where this is failing:

Disconnected from server. Error: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.EndReceive(IAsyncResult asyncResult)

Same guys I just fresh downloaded the game client from torrent np and when I launch the RoR launcher I constantly get disconnected at the stage where it just downloads the Manifest even before the actual patch.

Same problem here, i've just download the game and now the client is trying to download the manifest and some times i encounter the the error mentioned above and most of the time the percentage bar gets stuck.

Agreed, gets stuck at like 52% and 90% of the time it errors out. iv tried turning off the firewall, running as admin, i unchecked the read only but when i hit apply, and everything is done, i click ok and go try to start it, the same thing happens and ill check the file properties and it says read only again. like it keeps changing itself. i just downloaded the torrent and moved it to my desktop and cant play.

Same here. The percentage at which I get stuck seems to change each time, but it happens every time.

Same here, tried to do as others have on this thread. No luck

Downloaded the whole game again, still can't get through the manifest on the launcher before it error's out.

Bump. Same error. Downloaded torrent and copied files to desktop and ran RoRLauncher.

Well, I suppose I'm glad I'm not the only one with this problem. Any one have any ideas what's going on?

If I had to guess, there was a youtuber LazyPeon who just made a first impressions video on the private server, so maybe increased traffic is causing the error? (That's why I'm here. Used to play back in the day and didn't know a private server was up and running)
