Where Groups of the faction go to participate in 1v1's? or 3v3's depending on groups and such, just something organized?

They have done some in the past. In general I don't believe they are well attended.

If your goal is to hold a few small scale fights with reduced potential to be interfered with just go to one of the locked zones. Chaos Waste features a perfect area for such activity, as does Eataine.
Just be aware, however, the Devs here do tend to watch over such events. They have no concern over a genuine one v. one or six v. six fight going on somewhere, but they do not tolerate kill trading in any form.
