Return of Reckoning

For the next few months I''ll be living in a country where the internet isn't the greatest, and thus anything bigger than a scenario tends to make me lag in a way which reminds me of what WAR was like at release. With that in mind, I'm interested in playing classes that perform well in smaller-scale content. There are a lot of posts about what the meta is for warbands and open RVR, but not so much info about which classes perform well at this level. I understand that of the tanks, the IB and BG excel here, whereas they aren't so useful in large-scale stuff; what about healers? DPS?

Most classes can be viable depending upon what you mean by small scale.

2-4 person roaming? Solo rvr? 12v12 SCs? 6v6 Ranked solo? The answers will be slightly different depending upon what you mean.

Or just play slayer which is good at everything always.
