Unable to train Salvaging

When I train salvaging in Altdorf the ability does not appear in my spell-book. I tried turning off all addons and dropping my other profession but it still did not work. The result is that i am unable to use a profession which ios a big hindrance to character/account progression. Im not sure how to show you but i can easily show its not appearing in my spell book in game.
