I understand that the length of time between playing a character affects the amount of XP bonus gained, but does the location where you log off a character affect the bonus gained?
For example, if I log off a character in the middle of a field for a day, will it gain less XP bonus then if I log it off in the middle of a city?

Yes, you gain rested XP faster in a Warcamp or Chapter hub, and you gain rested XP fastest if you log off in a capital city
