"That Name Is Taken"

Is it possible we'd ever have our characters differentiated by a combination of first and surname? It's so frustrating that all my preferred first names are in use, but it's highly unlikely those using the same first name are using the same last name.
I know this isn't a terribly important issue, but it means a lot for those of us who really like to get inside our characters or are bringing across created characters from our tabletop adventures in the Old World.

The projects been live for almost a year now, so there's always a chance that certain names will be taken.
The duplication name system uses only "first name", and won't take second names into the equations because:
A) Why? It was never like that, and never was in any MMO game
B) Second names aren't implemented, so everyone is running around with first names.
Side note: What it boils down to is. If the name is taken, come up with a different one, simple as. This isn't something new within games.

In some MMO's, it allows you to input spaces into your name. I believe Elder Scrolls is one.

Plenty of other (earlier) MMOs that used more innovative ways. No reason that when the devs have time for less critical tasks that we can't innovate here for the sake of immersion and freedom.

Indeed. You're able to select a first and last name from the very start.
