[Learning] - A Learning Tab Proposal

Hello, i'm what you would call a no-name casual player. I've been playing RoR on and off since around id say 2017. Due to Recent events(can it even be called recent anymore) we have suddenly seen a large influx of new players. but as time goes by and i log in i see the same issues crop up daily.
  • How do i Play X Class?
  • Whats the Objective of this Scenario?
  • Where do i go after i reach level X?
  • Whats the current meta?
  • What Stats should i focus on
Among many more, not to even mention the more veteran players frustrations as the newer players get lost or generally make a mistake such as
(using siege weapons ineffectively to poke rdps, Zerging at opposing faction war camp, Holding supplies but not turning in, etc.)

Looking back on all of it i remember how i had to learn the game. Asking advice chat every few hours for another tidbit of knowledge before eventually joining a nice guild who carried me through the game all those years ago. and most players wont have something like that either be unwillingness to join a guild or unwillingness to ask in advice chat or just difficulty in finding the resources they need to prosper in general.
So what i'm proposing to you today is a Learning Tab on the Main Return of Reckoning Website

The Proposal:
Add a New Tab to the Main Website Header along the lines of this
Image
i really apologize for how shitty it looks, im not very good with image editing

In this Tab i envision a sort of Encyclopedia of Knowledge related to the game with tabs and sub-tabs relating to multiple parts of the game, RVR/Classes/SC/Gear/etc. where the more Knowledgeable players can create, update, maintain their own guides in an easily accessible and maintainable source for players.

No Longer will Little "DaDeathbringa" get lost in Gates of Erkund SC with no idea what to do objective-wise because "Mr800hours" would have his guide on Multiple SCs and their objectives readily available on the main website in a easily accessible way.

When i originally brought this up in Advice chat, i was met with a little pushback on why we would need such a System with Beginner Survival Kit already being an existing forums for such a thing. and well i have one response to that.
Beginner survival kit SUCKS

on top of it not being an exactly "popular forum" its quite easy for informative post to get buried if it isnt constantly bumped. A Learn Tab would allow Useful and Informative Post to stay near the Top of the Page or Listing(maybe using a Player Upvote or Downvote system so highly upvoted guides stay near the top where it will remain useful?)

Another bit of critisism i noticed when i first discussed it was why would any Veteran players write up guides for nothing in return. i have 2 responses to that.
Not everyone is drowning in apathy and would like to see new players stagnate because they cant be bothered to do something without a reward
Secondly, If needed they could offer a reward for those who go above and beyond for players, maybe reward unique cosmetics or titles for the high achieving guide writers who keep their popular guides maintained and up to date.

I think overall it would positively affect the Health of the game and our newer population.
Thank you for reading my post and i apologize for my terrible formatting. English is still difficult for me at times

Edit: Fixing Wording a little bit and formatting

Sounds like a great idea.

Questions:
1. How would a "veteran player" that has the right to moderate this new section, be defined?
2. Would the "veteran players" be able to edit each others posts? Because if you would understand a "veteran player" in the most simple definition, that's someone who has played X too many hours. But it doesn't mean he has the right game knowledge.
3. Would there be some kind of "head moderator?" Like somone who knows a lot about the game and can decide the final outcome of a topic.
4. How would such a "head moderator" be chosen?

1. I didnt exactly mean veterans players moderate the section, more of players upvote and downvote guides depending on how useful they found them and post with too many downvotes automatically get removed. The term vetertan player has no meaning. i probably should have said Knowledgeable player instead

2. Only the Original and Moderators should be able to edit post.

3. i think a head Guideposter Position would be wonderful idea to Curate the section and get the final say of what stays and goes and what isnt allowed. so we dont overwork our current staff.

4. Probably the same way GMs are Selected. Through staff application

DotA2 has something similar to this but in game its pretty nice, like OP said anyone can contribute but certain builds and stuff are signal boosted via voting.
