The Crowd Control topic.

Hello.

Can anyone point me to the topic about Crowd Control abilities description or answer few questions.

So far we have several CC abilities:
Snare, Root, Stun, Knock Back, Silence, Disarm, Stagger.

What of these abilities share immunity to the affected player? Is there one immunity or several types od it? Are any of these abilities not give immunity.

Snare has no immunity.

Root and Knockback share immunity, 30s long.

Stun, Silence, Disarm, Stagger all share immunities, duration of immunity depends on duration of CC (typically 10x duration except for Stagger, so a 3s disarm == 30s immunity).

This is correct.

Pulls also share immunities with roots and knockbacks as well.

Immunity type1:
Silence, knockdown, disarm, stagger.

Immunity type2:
Root, pull, knockback.

Snares are "soft CC" and unlike "hard CC" they dont give immunity. Some class abilities can shake off snares, others can be clensed. and tactics with a snare component are unclensable last time i checked.

Some AoE CC abilities give no CC immunity, but still have no effect if applied on a target already with an immunity:
Zealot's Winds of Insanity, Squigherder's outa my way.

CC patch was terrible on live.

They could have at least gone the route of every other game with DR's, maybe even not start at 30 second **** immunity timers, maybe have more than 2 categories ... but they didn't and so the game mechanics hit the breaks and slammed into a wall. Healing become monstrously OP in small scale, classes that didn't rely on CC got a massive buff, RDPS become absolute terrors in largescale (some of that is also thanks to removal of deadzones on this server).

And now you look at class balance and you see the MDPS and RDPS which have the most CC abilities also happen to be the worst in their respective categories. Coincidence? I think not.

What about the AE stagger of Chosen/Blazing ? How long is the immunity concern that ?

30 sec immun becouse stagger last 3 sec
