Return of Reckoning Added as a No-Steam Game

Sorry to ask, but it is okay to add Return of Reckoning as a No-Steam Game on Valve´s Steam or is that against the rules or something?.
I just want to be sure or there could be any trouble or issue with it.
The reason for it is because I want to use the Steam overlay and take some screenshots, but also to communicate via my friends. For the moment I have to alt tab out of RoR and then back in again to read a msg.
Do you think this is okay or ?
