no option to create character?

hi could somebody help me out here i have downloaded game through torrent managed to get onto the game after putting in my login and pass but then it only gives me the option to click 'cinematics' 'credits' 'settings' 'quit' ?? i tried re-extracting the files to see if that helped but didn't make a difference.
