Introducing PUG BOWL, a draft style 6v6 tournament!

Ever thought of dipping your toes into the 6v6 scene but had no team to play with?
Well now is your chance!

PUG BOWL is a draft style tournament where you can have some fun and meet new people.

Now, what is a draft style tournament you might ask?

Concept:
How it works is each team has a captain. The Captains of each team will take turns on picking CHARACTERS that have signed up until the captain has a 6man squad.
The captain assigns a shot caller and makes sure the team is ready to fight.

Restrictions:

Restrictions will be Max 2 players from the same guild.
Gear restriction max vanq/oppressor/sentinel
Weapons No Bloodlord weapons
You may only sign up with 1 CHARACTER
Teams are restricted to 6man squads no swapping characters or players.

Signups:
Sign-ups will happen in discord. Thanks to irolland who has set an epic bot up which handles the sign-ups and a whole lot more.
The command to register is !register your_champion_name your_class_code
You do this in the #register channel

Below are the class abbreviations to be used

ORDER CLASSES: IB RP SL ENG BW KOTBS WP WH AM WL SM SW
DESTRO CLASSES: SH SHAM BLORC CHOP CHO MARA MAG ZEAL DOK WE BG SORC

One you have signed up and registered the captains will be able to start drafting their teams by round-robin once the registration has closed.

Thanks to the devs and their hard work we no longer have to worry about having an equal number of teams on both sides, so chose whatever side you want!

Tournament format:

The tournament will be each team plays each other once. A win by wipe gives 5 points a win by kills gives 3 points, draw 1, loss 0.
A team wins by having more kills than the other team by the end of the fight or by doing a full wipe.

Each fight will last 10min. All kills/wipes after 10min are not counted. So if a team does a full wipe at 10min 1sec too bad.

If teams have equal amount of points at the end of all the rounds then the rankings will be determined by the number of wipes and the kd/ratio.


Should time permit it and we have interested then we will have a final between the top 2 teams to crown the ultimate PUG.

Should you wish to have the captain role and want to run your own team please post in a post below or message me on Discord/PM/msg me in game (I am mostly on Morkons on destro)

Registration time:

Monday 22. June until Wednesday 1. July


The draft starts Saturday 2. July until Sunday 12. July

Tournament

Starts Saturday 18th July at 18:00 Server time

The location will of course be the new arena.

The gear restriction is a good idea, too many people don't want to 6v6 because of gear disparities.

Sounds like a good idea - and good use of the new Arena. Best of luck with it.

So basically two things happened;

1. Your LEET 6 man got pwnd one too many times by another LEET 6 man, cause no pugs in Arena like in scenarios for you to feed off of. So now you want to try and get pugs into arena to have someoen to beat up on and feel LEET again.

OR...

2. You realized that REALLY.. the whole LEET 6 man crowd is really not that big and or interested in Arena, and you are trying to get more players to play it to justify wasting time to create it and all the "Dueling" crap too.

OR BOTH?
