Return of Reckoning

Does anyone who happens to know how guard fits into the damage formula mind sharing?

I'm just curious. I've noticed it reduces (splits) damage by more than 50%, in some cases FAR more, so I assume that it takes place before defense calculations.

Just curious. The more you know.

It's the opposite : take remaining damage after all mitigation from Toughness, Absorb, dmg multipliers, armor/resistances, then halve it and inflict the whole half (without mitigation) to tank.
