The only other two ways I know of are
1) buy stabilizer at auction house
or
2) make a cultivator char and grow stabilizer.

Aye the best and most consistent way to get them would be cultivating.

Butchering I've found I get the most from lizards, but it does take an age to farm enough, much quicker to cultivate them, and it doesn't take too long to level it up either.

Thanks folks. Buying stabilizer at action house is not budged friendly for me because i'm already buying stuff like extenders bla bla. I can make a cultivator.

Cultivating good for money as well, recommended on char you play the most. Selling healingpots is good money

Actually the best you could farm from butcher are squigs (like in BC near the CH22 quest) ; they give you stabilizers 175-200 working like Goldweeds (+1 multiplier), multipliers (working like gobswort), and healing pots main comp.

Basically everything useful from squigs, but yes best and most efficient way to get stabilizers is cultivating, since you can grow them 4 by 4.
Plus you gain one more resin from each of them, wich is not as good as goldweed (no mutiplier, reduced crit chances) but can perfectly work for instant pots (healing/AP/Shield).

Use goldweed/squig bits * 2 + extender for long-duration potions, and resin * 2 + Multiplier (squig/fusk) for instant pots, both trade skills are complementary.
