Squig tactic Sharp Toofs change

Was any explanation given for why the tactic Sharp Toof was changed? It's new form as a 20' AOE off of one attack seems rather pointless given mSH already have several better AOE options and if AOE is the focus, this change seems to undercut using little squig at all.

its a single target dmg nerv. now the tactic is more or less useless. hopfully its the last MSH nerv.
when i go single tarted now i use "Pierce Defenses".

It makes a pet dependant ability aoe, but if you are gonna aoe, you dont use pet anyway. It just doesn't make sense.
Useless tactic atm.

It actually works without the pet, it's just not in the tooltip. It's basically a filler move when you get interrupted.

Yeah, but if you dont have pet it hits 1 time, its not like you will use a tactic for a 1 hit aoe every 10 seconds

I am confused by this change. Sharp Toofs has gone from being THE tactic for single target use with one's little squig, to irrelevant. No mSH will slot this tactic now. It adds nothing in single target mode and for AOE one doesn't use the little squig at all. So, the upshot is this has weakened using the pet. So odd.
