Blasting potions used as a form of DDOS attack

It's a general understanding of the population that blasting potions, especially when used in quantities, produce big amounts of lag, to the server but also to the faction that is targetted each time.
I 've seen countless times in warbands, leaders calling for coordinated blasting potion throwing on the enemy.
I believe it became worst when we got the AOE cap increased to x24.
I don't have data, and i am not in the position to analyze what is really hapenning on the server side, what i am stating here is the *intention* of the player base on using those potions, which in practice is a DDOS attack to the server and the opposing faction specifically.
The server is probably well tuned for normal usage of AOE, but what is hapenning here is that we get 3x the amount of AOE than normal: In a 2/2/2 wb you have 8 total dps, and at least 1 or 2 of them are actually specced single target. But with blasting potions even tanks and healers get AOE abilities (over time actually which is even harder to manage resource wise).
In a normal DDOS attack you would block the source of the attack. I am not suggesting to start banning people on masses, but actually prevent it from hapenning in the first place. If a specific ability/resource is not used for its original intent (doing damage) but instead for exploiting a side effect of it (causing lag to the enemy), why are we still keeping it around?
I condemn in advance any attempts to derail my post into pointfingering and hope any such attempts get the muting they deserve.

As long as there is no evidence, this is pointless. Besides, why would people intentionally attack the server they are playing on? It will affect them as much as the enemy.

Not server but enemies. Massive blast pots in funnels or in 3wb+ orvr encounters will inevitably lead to disconnect if I use more than 4 skills on more than 3 people. And this happens every time, the best I can hope for is severe lag spike... Which ends in disconnect 8 times out of 10 anyway.

That's a bold assumption, that people not use blast pots for the added damage.
Is there evidence?

The whole sentence "i don't have data" refers to the server side of the game; i would only had that if i was a developer.
But i have plenty of "data" on what is hapenning in warbands everyday. Posting them however would be a TOS violation. As i said i don't want anyone to derail the post with pointfingering, and i won't either. You are free to dispute my claim but please do so directly, not by misquoting me or pointing out the fact that i didn't provide any data to back up my claims. If you believe that blasting potions are not used like i claim, have the courage to write it down publicly as is; as your opinion.

Only Sponn so far claimed he uses blasting potions for the damage. Kudos to him, i appreciate the answer.

I am not exaggerating when I say that as an SnB KOTBS in a warband or city environment.... it is my my most impactful ability - damage wise, and it is ranged. Lol I laugh at it but it is because it is true LOL.

When doing city WB with alliance, people distribute blast pots to all who want to drop it on command to maximize damage. It is added damage, especially if multiple people are using them (I fairly believe they stack). It is quite far fetched to put in "crash opponents client" as a reason. Especially when most people crash on loading into city and not during the fights.

This is the real tragedy here, but alas; no love for knights. The Zoidberg of classes.

As for blasting pots; there is literlly no proof; just anecdotal evidence. I've had times when i saw them used had massive FPS spikes and times when they didn't seem to affect the frame rate at all.
Calling them 'a form of DDOS' attack when that's all you have is extremely far fetched. Would work if you were into politics and had your own news station; alas, you seem not to be (didn't google 'blasting pots news' so can't tell for sure).

My suggestion: start using them yourself, along with your group/warband. The dot stacks iirc and the numbers add up nicely; and if what you believe is true, you will be DDOSing the enemy team. Eventually if everyone is 'DDOSing' each other the devs will have to look into it, least the server ends up in M.A.D.
