Adjustment to Marauder skill "Death Grip"

The Marauder skill "Death Grip" is currently not on par with alot of similar skills from other classes. (Damage values are from the ROR Career Builder)

Death Grip (Marauder):
AP: 20
Range: 5ft
CD: 5sec
Requirement: Parry
Damage: 0
Effect: 4 sec disarm

Similar skills:

Opportunistic Strike (SW):
AP: 20
Range: 5ft
CD: 30sec
Requirement: Assault Stance
Damage: 202
Effect: 4 sec disarm

Confess!Sever Limb (WH/WE):
AP: 35
Range: 5ft
CD: 10sec
Requirement: Parry
Damage: 227
Effect: 4 sec disarm

Drop That (SH):
AP: 20
Range: 150ft(pet disarms)
CD: 20sec
Requirement: active pet
Damage: 194
Effect: 4 sec disarm


We can see that the only advantage that the skill Death Grip has is the shorter cooldown on it. In a 1on1 the 5 sec cd doesn't matter, because the immunity timers are way longer than 5 secs. In any other situation it would be a massive damage loss to use a skill with 0 dmg.

My suggestion is too keep the differences of the skills, but bring it at least a little bit on par.

Suggestion Death Grip:
AP: 20
Range: 5ft
CD: 15sec
Requirement: Parry
Damage: 125
Effect: 4 sec disarm (undefendable!)

hmm 30 sec virtual cd on this skill in my nb.
I dont waste ap. Ty for info. U have other skills for dmg.

Use Gut Ripper first then use Death Grip or vice versa.

Pretty sure Death Grip is undefendable, unlike the others, so thats a big advantage to keep in mind.

Abilities that deal no damage are usually undefendable, if Death Grip isn't then it could be considered a bug

If we are on the same path to homogenization, does this mean other classes should get a 65ft pull as well?


I wouldn't mind it, classes being unique is overrated anyhow.
