Character sound turned off?

The character sounds are switched off. I have the master volume and effects volume switched on, and I disabled all addons, still the same.
Any ideas?
For instance, if I type /lol, I dont hear my little shammy laughing crazily!

Your audio.myp file may be corrupt. I had the exact same issue with my installation as well. Fixed it by using the torrent download and replacing the audio.myp with the corresponding file from the torrent.

Sorry for late reply. But if its just the voiceovers that are missing its the problem with vo_yourlanguage.myp file.
