Warhammer: Age of Sigmar

So, today marks the dawn of a new world it seems; for anyone interested GW have posted on their website free-to-download War Scrolls for all current WHFB forces.
As an old school vet. I didn't really like End Times, but I'm willing to give most things a try so will definitely give Age of Sigmar a good run.
At the moment it feels really weird "losing" M, WS, BS, S etc stat. lines (and the whole "Mortal Wound" things looks crazy on paper), but as far as I can see (and confirming what the rumours said), AoS is a no points system. I personally think this is the biggest departure and still can't get how it's going to work... "Take the models from your collection"... I can see me placing my 8th balanced infantry, cav. force on the table and someone rocking up with 5 Bloodthirsters and 2 blocks of 20 Knights all led by Archaon and saying "ah you've got more models than me, I'm disadvantaged, so I can pick Sudden Death"

... Hope it doesn't work out like that!
Anyhoo, what do you's think of AoS at this early stage?

Undecided. The new artwork looks great. I'm slowly liking the new setting for what it is. But I also don't know if I want it... it's not really Warhammer on the outside.
Admittedly I've always been detached from the miniature game due to the extreme price point. I bought the Battle of Skull Pass 7th edition boxed set and an Empire Rulebook and that was it. Never even got around to finish painting that boxed set...

Haha! I do actually agree with you both, but I think I've made my feelings clear on that in other threads. IMO there was no need to destroy the Old World and the game mechanics were on the whole fine. If they wanted to lower entry cost, move the time-line on, streamline the system, I think there were better ways. I'll give it a try but they have to do something about balance or as s game to me, it's meaningless

Never thought I'd see the day:
"The World That Was is no more, but the battle continues… Warhammer: Nagash is designed for use with Warhammer: The Game of Fantasy Battles. That game system is no longer supported, but this title remains available for those who want to recreate the epic battles of the lost world. To continue the war against Chaos in the Mortal Realms, check out Warhammer Age of Sigmar."

Hello people.
If "Age of Sigmar" was there another game based on warhammer fantasy, still existing the original one, yes... I would try to get more information about and maybe buy some miniatures. But isn´t that, its a fake a parody of Warhammer, no it´s worse, that game kills old warhammer fantasy history and only for that i dont like nothing about it.
Sorry for my bad english, and my apologize to poeple who like the new version. I think Games Workshop it´s on a very very great mistake.
Specially that fact to give the RoR Developers and people who works on RoR thanks for your work.

Maybe they wanted their own epic mythos or saga with "divine intervention". Closest variation is Heroes of Might & Magic 5-6
