Return of Reckoning

I downloaded and installed the game client and launcher, but when I launched the game, I got a launcher error. The game also still launches, but all I got was a black screen with the sound playing.
The launcher error was the one requiring the performance counter, so I downloaded and ran that and now I no longer get the launcher error when I launch the game. However, I still get a black screen when I launch the game but there is no longer any sound.

The character selection screen works or it is also black?

I too am having an issue exactly like this, My folder isn't marked read only, I have the RoRlauncher.exe in the propper folder. I did get some errors when i was unzipping my downloaded files, I used the Megaupload links and got everything fine, i than go and unpack each of teh 5 files one at a time.

to Amtrac zac, reintall your files, if you used the mega download you just have to unpack the first file last, for some reason if you do it in order it coves up some essential files.
