When I try to remove the read-only option it re-activates itself.

I am having this same issue.. did it just resolve on its own? I've tried everything I could to fix it but it still stays on 'read only' =\

Its a visual bug of Windows. If you untick it and apply to all files and folders, it should be enough.
Just make sure its not in Program files as those locations can have some weird permission issues of their own
